What’s the difference between Maine Enrollment Assisters and brokers?
Assisters and brokers can both help you enroll in health insurance. Their services are free to you.
Assisters provide unbiased information. They can help you apply for MaineCare and Marketplace plans, but they can't provide advice about your specific plan choice.
Brokers can help you find a plan that fits your needs. Most brokers can provide a referral if you need help applying for MaineCare. A Broker will help you at no cost to you, but they may get paid by an insurance company.
