Important Information for Mending Health Members

Mending Health will no longer offer plans through CoverME.gov beginning January 1, 2027. Current coverage remains in effect through 2026.

Mending Health, formerly known as Taro Health, is leaving CoverME.gov.

Mending will not offer 2027 health insurance plans through CoverME.gov or any other State-based Marketplace.

CoverME.gov began notifying members of this change in June 2026. This fall, Mending members will get detailed information about their household's enrollment.

Mending member? Read your emails, mail, and CoverME.gov account notices carefully for updates.

Your plan will change on January 1, 2027.

Are you currently enrolled in a Mending Health plan through CoverME.gov? Your Mending Health plan coverage will continue through December 31, 2026. Your 2026 plan will not change.

Mending Health plans are no longer available for new Special Enrollment Period (SEP) enrollments.

You will not have a gap in coverage.

Most CoverME.gov members have automatic re-enrollment turned on. CoverME.gov will automatically re-enroll you in a new "closest match" plan for 2027. Your new plan will be through CoverME.gov, but with another insurance company. We matched you based on cost and network similarities, including Direct Primary Care (DPC) network coverage.

Some new plans are a little different.
Some are very different.

Your new plan has the same 100% coverage for most preventive services. You’ll still be covered for primary care, specialists, mental and behavioral health care, urgent and emergency care, prescription medications, imaging and labs, substance use treatment, and much more.

However, there were no identical plans to Mending plans. Many matches have higher deductibles, monthly payments (premiums), and out-of-pocket limits. For some, this means higher monthly bills or costs for medical services. However, others will have lower monthly bills. Many have changes in pre-deductible coverage or provider networks.

Looking for Direct Primary Care (DPC) coverage? Only one 2027 plan sold through CoverME.gov includes Direct Primary Care (DPC) providers in their network. This plan is called “Health Options Direct Primary Care Essential Bronze $8500 HSA HMO NE.” Find this plan in the Plan Comparison Shopping Tool for details, like estimated costs.

Your new plan might not be right for you.

We matched you with your new plan based on similarities like premium cost and provider network. Despite these efforts, it might not be a good fit for you and your household.

  • Your providers might be out-of-network in your new plan.

  • Your new monthly price might be higher than you budgeted for.

  • Your deductible might be hundreds or thousands of dollars higher.

Some new plans cover Direct Primary Care (DPC). Some don't.

We strongly encourage you to compare your options on CoverME.gov.

You know your health and budget better than anyone. You may be able to find a better plan than the one we matched you with.

If you qualify for Cost Sharing Reductions (CSRs), a Silver plan can give you a lower deductible and lower out-of-pocket costs.
