2025 Premium Updates

Nothing is changing for your 2025 premiums. Most Mainers will still qualify for financial savings in 2026. There are 2 types of savings on CoverME.gov:

#1 Advance Premium Tax Credits. Nothing is changing with Advance Premium Tax Credits. Most people qualify for these savings and will continue to save - period. The dollar amount is based on your household income. With these credits, CoverME.gov members often pay hundreds of dollars below sticker price for their health plans.

#2 Enhanced Premium Tax Credits. Unless Congress acts, Enhanced Premium Tax Credits will expire on December 31, 2025. If Congress extends Enhanced Premium Tax Credits, costs will barely change. Congressional representatives can extend Enhanced Premium Tax Credits. Enhanced Premium Tax Credits began in 2021. They help thousands of Mainers afford health coverage. They are extra savings that add on to Advance Premium Tax Credits.
